This Quote expresses my thoughts about teaching and how i want to teach in just 4 simple sentences. The first line "give a men a fish and he'll eat for a day" talks about our education system today. Children only know how to receive the information, but cannot  analyze and critically think about it. The Next line "teach a man to fish and he'll eat for life" reflects how I will teach my classroom. Throughout my school years I never really learned much. I was taught to remember. In math class I could do division, but couldn't explain how I did it. I don’t want my students to know the content, but to be able to analyze, understand and explain. I want to be  a progressive teacher. "Based on my  experience in my educational journey, I want to be a teacher whose philosophical orientation to teaching will equip students with “problem solving strategies that will enable them to discover meaningful knowledge at various stages of their lives” (Becoming a teacher pg 86).
