               Using Technology in the classroom

Ever since I started college I've tooken a few partly online courses and I thought that it wasn't bad at all. To me it easier for both the students and teachers because instead of printing paper all the time and worrying if whether your printer is going to work fine or is the computer center going to be opening when the individual needs it to be all work can be submitted online. Plus the grades can also be kept on record on whatever system the teacher is using. Should technology be used in the classroom and would the students enjoy it? The way the world is going today yes. Public schools around the city and the world are finding many ways to get both the students and teachers hook on using computers more than the old fashion blackboard and chalk. For example the school that I’m currently doing volunteer work at this year for the very first time there are technology boards and laptops in almost every classroom and I’m pretty sure everybody is excited. I’m very happy about the fact that when it’s time for me to go into the classroom everything would be so advance and by then I probably won’t be using the blackboard at all. My goal is to teach the older children and I love to have them do both their schoolwork and homework on a network similar to blackboard and PBworks. For my first third years of teaching I would start out small by having my students send their assignments via the email and slowly move on through my career. Once I see that’s working out fine then I would try other options. As far as the younger children goes in pre-k through1st going I’m not sure how that would work out but the way our generation is going I’m one hundred percent sure they would will be using laptops a lot too and the materials they would be doing like learning their numbers and alphabets technology would come in very handy.
