Pedagogy of the Oppressed Chapter Two
A teacher’s job is to teach his or her students but that may not always be the case. When it comes to what is going on in the world for example what latest creativity are out such as a learning devices or education game which could help the child learn better the educators should have hear the students and parents out and give them a chance. It is not always about a child sitting down in front of the teacher in class and being taught a lesson that may not even be interesting at all. Just because the Board of Education is gives the teacher a outline of topics that they have to teach doesn’t mean that they have to follow it completely. As a educator you have to find a way to make your students want to learn about the lesson that they are being taught by one. Find something from real life or from the television and incorporate into your lessons depending on what subject you are teaching. If you chose to teach a lesson the way that the Board of Education is showing you how to explain it then chances are your students will certainly lose you and be bored out of their minds and an educator should never want that to happen. A teacher’s job is to make sure that the environment within their classroom is warm and welcoming. The students should be excited about seeing one. I’m not saying that there will never be a time where you have to be serious and do something that the students would not enjoy doing. However that should not always be the case.
