        Effective Communication

 

Goal: Candidates speak and write in appropriate registers depending on audiences and purposes and demonstrate comprehensive fluency in numeracy.


Objectives/Outcomes
6.1 Use and apply Standard Written English and “Dominant” dialects where appropriate and code switch from standardized or dominant forms to other forms of English when appropriate.


6.2 Use technology as an efficient and innovative means of communication.


6.3 Read and write a variety of texts from various disciplines and in a variety of registers for multiple purposes.


6.4 Apply basic mathematical concepts to everyday situations.


6.5 Demonstrate and understand the connections between concepts and algorithms.
