Education by Rights

Before I came across this article I always believe that everyone had a absolute right to be an educator whether or not if it was free. As I got older I stared to realize that what is being taught in school to us is not as diverse as I think it should be. For example in social studies students asr being taught more about the history of white people than black. The only time that teachers on African American topics is during black which takes place in February. For all four years that I was attending James Madison High School none of the teachers I had for social studies never once taught anything about African American studies. To me that is not good at all because they are partly responsible for why we have the things we have on this earth today. Overall they should be a mixed discussion of blacks because in my opinion this may rise the graduation rate of color people. If everything is split equality where we have topics taught about blacks, whites, Spanish etc. our students grades especially testing scores would have a positive impact.
