Basketball and Portfolios
We all make mistakes in life. It is a normal thing because we are humans. When someone makes a mistake, they would either admit to it and move on with their lives or they will deny it and say they it never happen even though it did. The person would keep on insisting that whatever mistake they had done was not them or put the problem on someone else. These are the types of individuals who never learn from their past. If a person just happens to catch what the other person did on tape, then maybe they would actually see what he or she may have done and now there is a chance that they will learn from their mistake. For example in the story when the students were making mistakes during their basketball game, the coach recorded every move that they made on tape. Following each game they would sit down, watch the video that the coach created and see exactly what mistake they had made. So in the future when they play another game, they will be more cautious of what they are doing and this way they can certainly improve. As far as education goes let’s say for example a teacher is making her students do a presentation in a class and she or he are recording them, and some of the students are making big mistakes or simple ones, everything single thing is on tape. So now later on, when the teacher plays back the tape the students can see exactly what he or she did wrong. By reviewing a recording of themselves, they will learn from their mistakes, so this way in the future if the students have another presentation to do for the same class or a different one, they will be extra carefully. I agree with recording people when there are giving a presentation or doing anything that requires an audiences reviewing because people are watching them. There is nothing more embarrassing then making a crucial mistake in front of people.
