Reflection Based on Knowledge

This evidence meets the standard of Knowledge, which states that candidates possess a comprehensive understanding to the liberal Arts and Sciences and Eduction foundation content, concepts and modes of inquiry and make connection among diciplines.  In history 101 class, which was based on the study of World Civilization; Dr. Phillip A Oguagha gave us an assignment where we had to write key Factors that contributed to the Development of Civilization in Mesopotamia.  Writing this essay helped me to use technology proficiently.  Using the internet to download the required text was extremely helpful becaused I didn't have to buy the book.  The internet also helped me to gather other needful information that I needed about Mosopotamian society.

Conducting this study helped opened my eyes to the different histories that are not included in the school's curriculum.  Our required history text only teaches only a limited amount of information but after conduction this research I was able to learn so much more.  The facts I learned after collecting the evidences stated in the book will help me as a teacher because I realize how important it is, as a teacher, to think critically when using particular text.  The gathering of information or knowledge does not end with the required text, since it is taken from the point of view of only a selected few.  Using the required text for history was helpful to a certain degree but, I have found out that there are different book and studies that will help students to better understand the base content, concepts and modes of inquiry and also help to make connections among disciplines.

My growth, development and performance in completing this study was very enlightening, my performance standard shows that it is not enought for something to be knowledge just because it is believed.  It also has to be true, independent of any belief I have.
